BIOGRAPHY
Pastor Tony Ray Smith is a husband, father, pastor, musician, entrepreneur, author and itinerant preacher. He is a native of Northern Virginia. His cutting-edge and no non-sense style of ministry has allowed him to frequent the pulpit of many denominations and reformations. This has caused him to be a sought-after revivalist, teacher, and conference speaker.
The Lord has blessed Pastor Tony Ray Smith to serve as the Senior Pastor of The Word Church in Ashburn, VA for 15 plus years.
In addition, Pastor Tony is the founder of Tony Ray Smith Ministries. A ministry that focuses on empowering ministries and churches by the preached Word and compliance consulting services. He is also the CEO of Tony Ray Smith Enterprises, a Consulting Group that specializes in marketing, media and ministry services to businesses, churches, and non-profit organizations.
Pastor Tony is the author of four books: Moving Forward, Goal For It, You Can Write A Book, and his latest release, Affirmed (a collection of positive Affirmations).
He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from George Mason University in Integrative Studies and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in School Administration.
He submitted to spiritual covering of Dr. Rev. Randy M. Haynes, retired pastor of Open the Book Ministries and current overseer of The Word Church.
Pastor Tony is married to Cardhia Smith.. They have been blessed with two sons, Xavier Malachi Smith and Josiah Makai Smith.
BIOGRAPHY
Edrick A. Harris is a native of Prince George’s County, Maryland. He serves as an Elder (Minister), Lead Intercessor, and Ministry Assistant at The Word Church in Ashburn, Virginia. He is committed to ministry, leadership, and service within the church and the wider community. He also serves as the sole Chaplain for McGregor Pace Senior Care in Cleveland, Ohio.
Professionally, Edrick has served for over 20 years as an Assistant Director of Financial Aid at Georgetown University. He is dedicated to expanding access to higher education. He mentors and supports first-generation college students nationwide, providing guidance and advocacy as they navigate college life. He also partners with local high schools to educate students and families on college affordability and financial aid options.
Outside of his professional and ministerial roles, Edrick enjoys traveling and spending time with his family. He is married to his wife, Princess K. Mines-Harris, and together they are the proud parents of five children.
